Course Focus and Learning Objectives
Orthopedic vs. Neurologic Disease: Which is it? is a self-study course. Companion animals may present with various orthopedic conditions which may be confused for neurologic dysfunction. To aid the practitioner in identifying these conditions and to rule out neurologic causes, this course first provides an overview of performing and interpreting a neurologic examination. Then, notable orthopedic conditions that may be considered “neurologic imposters” are covered, with description of the causes and examination findings associated with these conditions At the end of the presentation attendees should be able to: outline the components of a neurologic examination and list the expected findings for neurologically abnormal companion animal patients describe a variety of orthopedic conditions that are commonly mistaken for neurologic dysfunction identify features of these conditions that are inconsistent with neurologic dysfunction

Completion Requirements
The completion requirements for this course are: complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted submit the course survey Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
