VetTechnicalities: Triage is a self-study course. Evaluate the patient. Calm the clients. Notify the team. Treat the patient. Repeat! Veterinary technicians and nurses are the first responders in the ER, and triaging requires more than a brief once-over. This course covers every aspect of an ER veterinary triage, from input to intake, and informs you how to implement effective triage into your practice. Useful for general practices and specialty centers, via telemedicine and in-person. You won't just be reading a temperature; you will be reading the whole room. At the end of the presentation attendees should be able to: outline common ER visits & what they entail explain Triage 101 the patient evaluation nose to toes describe what telemedicine means for a veterinary technician/nurse differentiate the roles of vet techs/nurses throughout the process explain how a thorough triage team fits in the overall workflow in any veterinary setting

Participants do not need to be logged into the course at specific times to attend lectures or view presentations. Participants do not need to complete the course in one sitting. Completion Deadline: Participants have 30 days from date of enrollment to view the presentation, as often as desired, as well as submit the two completion requirements outlined below. If after 30 days the completion requirements have not been submitted, the participant will be graded out of the course as incomplete.

Completion Requirements
The completion requirements for this course are: complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted submit the course survey Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
