The Veterinary Nurse's Guide to Diagnosis and Management of Feline Infectious Peritonitis is a self study course.
This course provides veterinary technicians with an in-depth overview of FIP, crucial to understanding this complex disease. Multiple facets of FIP are discussed including pathogenesis, signalment, manifestation of clinical signs, routine and advanced diagnostics, prognosis, prevention, and treatment. Veterinary technicians need to be prepared to educate clients confronted with an FIP diagnosis, which will enhance the quality of care and support they can provide to them and their cats.
Upon completion participants should be able to:
- discuss information about the pathogenesis, signalment, clinical signs, diagnostics and treatment options for the disease feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) with clients.
- identify specific diagnostic findings and understand the difficulty in diagnosing FIP.
