Course Focus and Learning Objectives
VetCE on Demand: The Touch of Triage - Hypoxia and Shock utilizes the archive of a live presentation under the same name. This course covers how to quickly and accurately assess emergency patients and treat for the things that will kill them the quickest which are hypoxia and shock. It then explains how triage doesn't just end in the waiting room, or ER, but even after a patient is hospitalized. Every time you enter their cage you are essentially triaging them again and again. Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to: list what body systems need to be quickly and accurately assessed during triage explain the importance of knowing the basics, with normals and abnormals, to accurately triage patients discuss why triage continues with hospitalized patients explain why veterinary technicians are the most valuable “monitoring equipment” available/li>

The completion requirements for this course are: complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted submit the course survey Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
